Well done, as a half-marathon amateur runner I can easily identify with your feeling. What matters in my mind is completing the race, crossing the finishing line. All the rest is just noise. In the Tel Aviv Marathon, which I take part in every year, your personal time is measured but I never really care about it. People get obsessed with metrics and pace and calory counts etc. Let them talk about it until the vows come home. Who cares? You know why you've done it and I'm sure you felt that thrill as you started the race and as you completed it. That's what matters. Kudos!
